IT’s that time of year again when everyone starts to count down the days until they can go on holiday.
Footballers will finish up for the season in the next couple of months as we approach the tale-end of club football around the UK.
Most will head abroad to enjoy some time away from the game before heading back to their club for pre-season training.
And their Wags are no different as they’ll be looking forward to some quiet time with their partners after a very busy football season.
Celtic defender Stephen Welsh‘s girlfriend, Elise, is in that boat as she’s waiting for the current campaign to draw to a close so she can jet off back into the sunset.
Waiting until the next getaway, she posted a throwback snap of her from her last trip away with the caption: “Counting down the days.”
And she’s wowed her followers with her latest pic as she left little to the imagination, posing with her back turned without her bikini on.
Elise and Stephen have a trip planned already ahead of the summer as the Celtic defender treated her with a surprise gift on her birthday.
He is taking her on a luxury trip to Dubai in June.
On her birthday, she posted a picture of a laminated poster from her 23-year-old boyfriend, which read: “We are off to Dubai on June 4 and we are travelling business class! Lots of love Stephen.”
The out-of-favour Hoops centre-back is clearly not waiting about when it comes to the holiday as their trip is planned just ONE day after the Scottish Cup final.
Celtic have yet to seal their place for the Hampden showdown in June as they face Rangers in the semi-final at the end of the month to confirm their spot.
It’s unlikely Welsh will play a part in the final if they do indeed reach the stage though, as he’s fallen down the pecking order at Parkhead under Ange Postecoglou this campaign.
But he can’t leave the country until his side’s campaign is finished as he needs to be available in the off chance the Parkhead gaffer is hit with an injury crisis in the lead up to the final clash.
